I have lived in Puerto Rico, The USA and Sweden where I currently live. This has given me the opportunity to obtain international experience in different academic, cultural and working environments. I earned a BSc. in General Natural Sciences - Cum laude at the University of the Sacred Heart, Puerto Rico (USA) 2001 – 2003. Afterwards in Sweden a BSc. in Social Work and elective courses in Public Health and Psychology at Uppsala University(2008 – 2012). I am interested in parental neuroplasticity from pregnancy, biosynchronization of cortisol/oxitocin in parent-infant interactions, self-regulation capacity in parenting skills, timing/synchronicy in interactions and self-regulation paths in infants. In a near future I would like to conduct research. One area of interest is in studying biological measures in parents and babies in order to understand interaction patterns between child and parents. Mirror neurons activates in distress situations as baby-cry arises, how parental sensitivity, mentalisation and biological reactions best can lead to strategies to help their children to self-regulation in different developmental stages mainly before 1 year and up to 3-years. _x000D_
I aim in the future to cooperate developing programs and interventions that fosters self-regulation and secure attachment style between children and their parents with a collaborative cross-sectional policy in Early Childhood Care. An integrated universal prevention program for becoming parents and preventive targeting intervention program during the very early child development when risk factors arises, i.e. difficult pregnancy and/or birth delivery, baby colic. How perinatal depression can best be monitored and how post-partum depression in mother/and or father impact the capacity to self-regulation in babies. How works the Biosynchronization ecosystem in sleep pattern for baby-parents and the impacts in self-regulation and parental mentalizations skills. I am keen of innovative methodology and interested in gamification and development of interactive analog or digital platforms as instruments to accomplish developmental, health and wellbeing goals and reach all population.
